Lens, Paper and Scissors: Negative Surgery
For all of the following works I used a technique where the negatives are cut and collaged together before being printed as any photograph.
I use methods of cleavage or random association of negative image from the same film or different ones sometimes taken years apart.
Everything has to be done in the darkroom and the work very meticulous due to the size of the material.

This series of collages is a project developed around the traditional theme of the Dance of Death. A personified Death leads people towards the inescapable, all united by their transient condition.
Here the characters symbolise different steps in life and development and transformation in ones’ personality. The awareness of what’s ahead is present as something to reflect on, where the personified Death is a carrier of wisdom.
